For this month's meet the team feature, we interviewed our lovely senior designer, Gill. Here's what she had to say...
Gill Gregg
Senior Designer
ENFP (Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling and Perceiving)
It means I have a curious, lively and creative personality with a strong disregard for rudeness and spreadsheets.
An average day for me in the studio involves tackling a series of visual design problems. Some are intuitively straightforward, whilst others take a lot more research, testing, experimentation and deliberation to solve. Hence the large amount of tea, coffee and melty Dutch caramel biscuits that are consumed as well as a visit to my trusted ‘ideas bench’ overlooking the river Tay. My role is to present my design ideas in a clear and creative way in order to explain how they tell a brand’s story.
Oh, and every so often I remember to water my Aloe Vera plant, Boris.
Collaboration. Working with such a lovely, close-knit team of talented individuals is what makes me excited to come to work. Watching all the different elements of a project come together beautifully to produce some strategically thoughtful, creative and technically impressive designs is an amazing feeling. Building brands that make clients and their customers happy is what puts a smile on my face.
Aside from listening to Scottish indie bands, sampling local artisan street food, hurtling down a mountain on a board and chasing round a gregarious toddler, I love nothing more than stretching out the day at my Thursday evening yoga class; after which I always have the best night’s sleep.
David Attenborough – what an endlessly fascinating career spanning decades. I could listen to those dulcet tones all day long.
Roald Dahl – a brilliantly bonkers storyteller.
Marie Antoinette – she knew how to party.
